Airbag Light is on...dealer says it's the Airbag control module...$1200!!
Here's the catch, I took the car to the dealer and long story short they replaced the whole transmission along with the transmission oil pan, the front sway bar bushings and front right CV boot...all that said, I took the car in without an airbag light on and the second my wife got in the car to leave the dealer the light was on. First, I can't prove any further than the obvious that it is the dealer's fault and second, what are the chances that (with all of the shaking and banging that I'm sure had to happen to replace the sway bar and tranny) there is simply a loose wire that should be reconnected at no cost to me? Thanks for your thoughts or experiences with the problem.

Re: Ask them what code it was storing.
I don't know the exact code, he said that it was whatever code shows that the ABS (I think he called it) module itself had gone bad. He said they tried to reset it and every time the code would pop right back up.

Airbag or ABS module. Your other post says ABS. If so, they probably left the wheel speed
sensor too far out when they did the CV joint boot and it's throwing a code.
At any rate, ABS module isn't anywhere close to $1200.
