Another Cooling System Question
I searched the forum but could not find a similar issue so thought I would open a new thread.
I have a 96 A6 Quattro, 74,000 miles.
High temp warning light comes on after running the car for a while.
Temp gauge seems to be working but does not indicate overheating it maxes out a hair above normal operating temperature.
Fans not turning on but they do work when the AC is turned on.
The OBD II system says temp is normal but occasionally I get spike to high temperature which I believe is the real temp and why the high temp warning light is on.
Trying to diagnose this and was thinking either the coolant temp sensor G62 or the eletronic thermoswitch F76.
Anyone have any thoughts on which one? or both? or something else.
Thanks
