Another Friday poll: Who has the highest hp car on the C5 forum?....

Huh? Doesn't OCDboy have more hp than that? If I am not mistaken, his..
sig says 370+ whp, which equals 470 crank hp correct? (the example that I am going by is AWE's dyno vid, which shows a 100 horse loss to the wheels) Of course, I am prolly wrong about that....:P

That's about right for a 4WD/AWD system. Check out some of the dyno results the guys...
on the A4/S4 forums are getting. Here are some dyno results for the RS6.<ul><li><a href="http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/gallery/rs6/index.cfm">Click!</a></li></ul>

I guess I was right for once....I STFA and found some "conflicting" results. Some say..
that it is always a 25% loss to the wheels, while others said that it "starts" at 25%, but is not linear as you increase the hp levels of your car. Which one could I assume is the "most" correct?
So based on the 25% theory, I make 225hp/221Tq at the wheels then? (.25 x 300HP/295tq at the crank, then that number subtracted from the original value)

Too many design variables to produce a formula that works for all cars...
FWD, RWD, AWD, 4WD, Manual, Automatic.... Plus you have to assume that the engine hp. numbers the manufacturers give you are accurate. And finally, every dyno has its own peculiarities. The only thing most will aggree on, is that losses as a percentage do decrease as power goes up given a similar drivetrain.
