Any pre-cautions to follow after having a new windshield installed?
Dropped the A6 off at Porsche-Audi Nashua this morning for a windshield replacement (OEM the only way to go IMO). They gave me a ride here to work in a Porsche Cheyenne, which was cool! But are there any pre-cautions that I have to follow while the windshield is recently installed until the glue holding in on drys?? Thanks In Advance...

They kept my car for a day and kept it indoors. Best not to drive it for a day while the glue...
... dries. The windshield actually bears some stresses when a car flexes, and if the glue is not dry, it can pull loose and leak. If you must drive it, I'd just go easy and avoid big bumps.

Yeah, do yourself a favor, and follow these directions to check for leaks: (long)
Open hood, remove the battery cover, and take out the cabin air filter. Place a towel over the closed air vents to prevent any water (or anything else) from getting in there. Slowly pour the contents of the water bottle on the lower windshield all along the passenger side of the glass. Be careful not to let the water get over the molding into the air vent. What you are looking for is any leaking into the air vent from the point that the molding and windshield meet. You may see actual drops coming from there, but feel with your hand to make sure the leak is not slower, just kinda seeping in slowly. If this happens, get it fixed before washing the car, and make sure you don't leave if out/drive it in the rain.
2 bad windshield jobs since August have left my passenger side floor flooded several times, luckily no damage to the TCM.

This has been the subject of many past threads. Aside from the problem of ...
an imperfect seal on the windshield itself (which could happen to any car), the A6 is particularly prone to improper reinstallation of the black plastic shroud that runs across the back of the engine bay fire wall and butts up to the bottom of the windshield. If any of the clips are misaligned, let alone missing, you are guaranteed to get water flooding into the passenger seat footwell. To make matters worse, the path of the water runs right over one of the electronic controllers (trans, I think).
It took one failed trip back to window installer, (who tried sealing the upper edge of the shroud), followed by two trips to the dealer (who ended up bringing in a window leak specialist) before my replacement windshield stopped leaking.
