Any problem with running 2 OEM Audi wheels and 2 Replica Audi wheels?
Hey guys - Is it ok to run 2 OEM's and 2 Reps on my '02 S6 Avant? The possible problems that I see are the weight differences, and the offset would have to be the same, right? Will the weight differences affect handling or tire wear in any drastic way?
Thanks for any help!

No difference in weight either. But....
The Hartmann reps and the factory wheels are within a pound of each other as I understand it.
But- they will use different wheel bolts. The factory wheels use a ball seat bolt, and the reps use a cone seat. No big deal but you'll need to carry a set of factory bolts in case you need to replace the Rep with a spare.

Bad idea.........
....the wheels will not look identical and there will be lightly different stresses on the mechanicals.
I suspect that you'll have the dreaded vibration issues too.
You might be better off trying to find either two original S6 wheels or 4 replicas (and sell your two S6 wheels.....

The 2 originals I have are the 5 point RS6 wheels and am thinking of just buying 2 of the same in
replicas from Hartmann. If they are close in weight (like allroad'Ed says below), then I'd just mount the reps on one side and the originals on the other. That way you wouldn't really be able to see a difference in color, shine, etc.... Plus I wouldn't think there'd be any vibrations or handling issues if they are close in weight.
Sounds like I'd just need an extra set of lugs in the car and everything would work fine. Right now this looks like my best option (assuming the weights are close). Unless of course I can find 2 more originals.

Are your 5-spoke RS6 wheels 18" or 19"?
The OEM 18" version available here in the US are 18x7.5 and were offered as winter wheels for the RS6. Any replicas you find will either be 18x8 or 18x8.5 (OEM size for the RS6). The 19's were never offered here in the US as OEM.

They're 18" and must be 7.5". I thought they were 8", but never measured. Could I still put the....
7.5" originals on the front and 8.5" replicas on the rear? Different widths on this car will only benefit appearance, right? Will it have any bad effects?
Thanks again
