Default Any Tip owners considering going Stage 3 ? Here's the way the Level10 Tranny swap works ...

The first (Beta tester) bought a second hand Tip tranny, sent it in for the L10 upgrade and swapped out his old stock tranny during the Stage 3 install.

The second guy bought the stock tranny from the first guy, shipped directly to Level 10, and then swapped out his stocker when returned ... and so on . . .

This way, the down time while the tranny is being re-built at L10, and sourcing/shipping costs are minimized.

I got a tranny for my upgrade (and lots of free advice ;-) from SkydiveRS4 (kudo's and thanks !). Let me know if anyone needs a tranny for Level 10 - my stocker is now available for the next stage 3 Tip'er ;-)

I want to encourage all Tip'ers to get to know the other ones going L10 / Stage3 so we can pass on the knowledge, and make this easier for all of us - pass the word ...

i'd be interested in learning more about this L10...as, i have no clue what this does.

Default Which L10 upgrade did you go with?

After reading all the posts, it seems that Skydive went with the full-on L10 upgrade (w/several updates) that is supposed to handle 800 lbs of torque. The Boston GB was for a partial upgrade that is supposed to handle 400 lbs.

As a Tip owner going stage 3, I'm very interested in hearing about real-world experience with this upgrade.
