Any of you 6-speeders have a tough time shifting into 2nd when it's cold?

Default I've been considering replacing/upgrading my leaky engine mounts and upgrading the snub mount...

...maybe I'll make a Saturday out of it at the shop and do the whole kit-n-kaboodle. How much of a PITA is the motor mount replacement?...I have a 2.7T, BTW.

Default I don't have my Bentley in front of me; is there a procedure for adjustment?

BTW, we need to do another Baltimore Hooters...uh, Hard Rock GTG someday.

MTL is a lighter weight, then the MT-90. I used it because we live in cold areas in WA & BC, easier shifts in the am. I probably would not recomend using it if your agressively driving or live in warmer climates(to be on the safe side).

Default That is a repair that will pay dividends....

I replaced the snub mount when doing the timing belt and waterpump with an APR unit. It really takes alot of play out of the drivetrain when shifting, especially after the motor & trans mounts are done. Also keeping the drivetrain from moving around will really prolong the life of the diff seals and driveshaft flange seals.
If your someone who pays attention to the nuances of your Audi, then you'll really appreciate all the little noises , vibrations and rattles that are gone.

Default Forgot to add.....

Keeping decent motor or drivetrain mounts will also keep the exhaust from cracking(especially as the car ages). Not quite as common on 6cyls as it is on the 4cyl cars, but it does happen. Those cat pipes and manifolds are pricey to say the least.

I had mine adjusted by someone smarter than me at Curry's. I'm always up for a GTG.

Worn clutch at best, rebuild at worst. Hocus pocus, magic elixer, fluids are a waste of time.
