Anyone have a good side by side comparison of Silver vs. "Hyper" Silver rims?
Very difficult to get a feel for the difference unless they are side by side. Thanks

Got them from....
Lakeshore Wheel & Tire. Quality is OK.
18" x 8.5", ET30, which allows them to clear the HP2 front brake calipers on '00 and '01 2.7Ts and 4.2s without spacers.
Pirelli PZero Nero 235/40/ZR18 tires. Anything wider than 235 will rub the front fenders on anything other than a 4.2, S6 or RS 6. Tires are really nice.
Ride is fine, as far as I'm concerned, but I like to know what's going on with the tires. It's far from uncomfortable, but certainly not as cushy as the 16s on my wife's 2.7T.
HTH.

My car's a 2.7T - there's no clearance for anything wider than a 235 tire on this wheel, as I wrote.
If the wheel offset were higher, then I could have bought a wider tire, but the 235 is all that will fit with this particular wheel.
I had them on my old '00 2.7T, which had the HP2 calipers, so these wheels were bought to clear those.
My current car doesn't have those brakes (and I miss them), so NOW, I could get wheels with more offset and go to a wider tire, but it's not worth it to me to go through the expense or hassle.
Also, FWIW, I have my OEM 9 spoke wheels with Michelin Pilot Sports in 245/40/ZR18s for a track setup. There's a pic of that setup, too, in my pic poster.
