Anyone here have any info on '04 A6?
I already know about color changes (we get "Night Blue", Dolphin Gray, and Burgundy as currently available on the allroad). I also know that both Sirius and XM will be available, bundled with Bose and OnStar. Anyone know of any other changes, specifically in the 4.2? I'm wondering about things like minor trim and appearance changes, e.g. taillights (would be great if the amber section was changed to white like on the A4), turn signals in the outside mirrors, changes in interior trim, etc. I've pretty much decided to get a new 4.2, but I'm now battling with whether to buy now or wait for an '04. Rector has an '03, still in the plastic, that would be perfect for me - Ming Blue/Platinum, Sport, Cold Weather, Premium. I can still get $2K loyalty AND 1.9% for 60 mos. (I'm a buyer, not a leaser.) I don't care about '03 vs. '04 per se; I only care about missing out on important changes between the two.
Then there's the matter of the C6. I've searched the internet and can find nothing conclusive regarding what or when. Anyone here know anything? When will it be introduced in Europe? We can then at least see what it will look like when it arrives here.

I'd be surprised if there were any cosmetic changes at all...
and I expect the '04 model year to be SHORT (to allow time for Audi to get rid of most of the A6s prior to the November '04 roll-out of the new '05 A6)...
Just my opinion...sorry, no evidence to back this up...but I wouldn't expect much of anything...

Alot of things were removed from the 03 4.2 already...
Compared to what was offered on the 02.. There appears to have been some kind of decision to cheapen up the 03.. One of the things I am a little ticked about is that the seat memory for the passenger side was removed and instead of the retractable side pocket storage spot like is seen under where the memory buttons would have gone there is now just an open/close side pocket without any trim covering it.. It loooks cheap and it is not what was pictured in the 2003 catalog pics.

Well, they have added things also...
OnStar, 6-disc in-dash player, more aluminum in the suspension, quieter interior, sport mode transmission...among a few other things I can't remember right now...
So yeah, a few things were dropped but some were added also...

Yup...electronic compass, thicker glass, too. (more)
If so-called "de-contenting" allows them to minimize or even prevent price increases, I'm all for it, especially if I can still option out the car the way I want it. My only disappointment is with having to buy an entire bundle just to get one of the features included in that bundle. For example, in an '04, if I want Sirius or XM, I MUST buy the "Infotainment Package", which also includes Bose, OnStar, pre-wiring for the phone, and (presumably) phone buttons on the steering wheel that are useless without the phone itself.

Actually, if you get onstar it has a hands free phone built in to it..
so you really dont need that motorola digital phone. The steering wheel buttons work with the built in onstar phone.

I thought the OnStar "phone" only worked for notifying the OnStar dispatcher of a problem.
Are you saying that it works like any other phone? Can it be used to make and receive regular phone calls?
