Default No.

This needs to be in the FAQ.

The 2.8 engine can not be modded to go faster.

Sorry.

Default strip the interior, remove all glass and excess electronics (ie A/C, radio, etc)

...very few power mods available so unless you add a NOS kit, best option is to reduce weight to go faster

Default Wait

I previously owned a 98.5 A4 with said 2.8 motor (isn't it the same engine?) and I recall that a company called PES sold a supercharger for that motor that took it up to 300HP. Now, I recall it was obscenely expensive and for all I know those cars have since blown up, but I do recall there were options.

Default Yes, the s/c is around $5K installed, which isn't bad for the gain.

Driving school will teach all about maintaining the momentum you already have. Other than that, smaller diameter tires will increase acceleration but look dorky and make the engine run at higher rpms at highway speeds.

Well GIAC and Neuspeed both make chips fo rhte 30v 2.8 engine, hp and torque gain of about 10 hp claimed and 10 ft/lbs of torque.
Neuspeed is about 200$ and GIAC about 300$
Upsolutions also has one listed.
K&N filter may make a teeny tiny differnce too, I've had noticeable increases on SAABs with custom exhausts.
TAP may be worth looking into as well.
Hope that helps and please post your findings.

Default I forgot about the SC but its a rip off...

$5K to void your warranty.

I'd rather use $5K towards the trade in.......hey wait, I did

AMS has a chip too. Think it's 12 to 17hp, depending on other equipment.
