Audi / Eibach Spring install - how much?
How much are people paying for the spring install? A four wheel alignment looks like $99 and the spring install labor quote I just got is $432 (no parts). The local aftermarket tuner wants about $450 which includes the springs - I'd go to the dealer for the 4 wheel alignment to get to $550.
6 hours to install 4 springs seems a little high. I would have guessed 2-3 (actual vs book) for a set of springs.

I paid $229 for install and alignment.
Other places I checked were ~175 install and ~75-100 for alignment.
All were non dealers. Dealer wanted $550 for install & alignement.

how do you like them?
Did you just do the springs? I'm looking to flatten the cornering, reduce the dive and squat some, and reduce the wheel gap for cosmetic reasons. 225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sports are going on this Thursday on the new A4 sport package wheel (RS4 look-alike).

That's exactly what you'll get with the Eibach springs
Flatter cornering, reduced dive and squat, and a very nice look from reducing the gap in the fender area (about 1-1/2 inches after settling). I've had mine for just about a year now and am very happy!
From what I remember, it took my independent Audi garage about 2-3 hours to install the springs.

Re: Audi / Eibach Spring install - how much?
The springs are a very tight install. It took my dealer in NJ more than 8hrs having their most experienced tech working on the car. The springs are a standard hourly rate for each, according to the dealer. I paid about $750 for the following:
1- 4 Audi Eibach springs w/installation
2- New TBB w/installation
3- ECU coding for auto window remote functions
4- 4 wheel alignment

It did the things you mentioned and still left the ride very comfortable. COmfort was still a big key with me. If your looking for a more aggressive ride others may have some suggestions. I am glad I changed the springs, it changed the whole look of the car, gave better road feel and still rides good.

Any trick to installing these?
I'm going to put the Eibachs on mine.
So far have a qoute of $719 including Alignment from an Audi specialty place and a $210, no alignment from a mechanic who specializes in lifting trucks and lowering hondas and such, never did an Audi before. Showed him the car and he doesn't see anything unusual to it.
The higher cost place says the 4 link suspension is tricky to deal with and needs the car the whole day to do all the work.
Any truth to the difficulty. I read posts where owners did it themselves, can it be that bad?
Want it done right, but don't want to be a sucker either.
