i have a new A6 4.2 i love the car.i am looking at extended warranty dealer info, fireman`s fund(wg warranty & insurance). has anyone tried this insurance. what did you pay for it??? help

I didn't know they did extended auto warranties; I'd expect that it would be top-notch if my homeowners' coverage is any indication.

they are a very fine company, and are the U.S. subsidiary of Germany's largest insurance company (and maybe the third largest insurance company in the world, I can't remember just now), Allianz AG. Go for it!

I am looking into this too. 7 years, 100K miles for about 2 grand. Other companies are out there...I found a something on the web for about 1,500. My concern is whether the company will be around after the factory warranty expires. You have about a year to decide I think for Fireman's. I don't think anyone has a clew what could go wrong in 5 or 6 years with the 2.7T... there just is not the history. I would love to know what might go wrong so I can decide to extend or not.
