Hey guys, it's been awhile. I need some of the powers that be to point in the right direction for some next level lighting. My current a6 (survivor class) uses the normal halogen h1. I replaced the factory HID lamps years ago after one of the lamps/ballast failed. My fog lights are using a cheapo h1 LED that offer a really great, but limited, effect. They're really just white LED markers at this point. The lenses are original @ 280k. ....yeap, survivor class. I need a good h1 replacement that's melts snow. Something that can signal the space station in a tight spot. Any help would be great! THERES NO WAY IM REPLACING THE FACTORY HID LAMPS! If I was that crazy I would have replaced the hud by now.

Suggest looking at after-market vendors and check feedback from customers on those sites. Also search on here under the subject. Lots of previous posts on the matter with good info.

Try one of the LED solutions from Amazon. Good price and great return policy. That's what I'm going to try next for a brighter lamp. My car currently has halogen lamps, but I'm not laying out the cake for HID.
