I'm not putting a friggin trunk rack on my car! Scratched the **** out of my Volvo...

Just wondering fit and finish? Strength? Aerodynamics? price?

I used a Thule on mine. Fit was nice, easy to install, very strong, and bikes and kayaks go on just fine. But....never forget that the bikes are up there when you try to park in an underground garage! Now I have a little body work to do on the roof!!!!!

I prefer Yakima...I've had both Thule and Yakima.

I kept the Thule for the top carrier container, but the Yakima just seems to work better for bicycles.

It's really just six of one and a dozen of the other anyway....go for the best price.

Thanks all. I'd be lying if I said money wasn't an issue. My brother has had Thule on his Volvo for years and loves it! I like the look of the Yakimas better I think. I like the wind diffuser, but I assume you can get that for any system? Are there any tips for attaching? Do they scratch above the door frame?

I just saw a person before I got home with a top carrier...The front opened and was peeled back like a soup can! haha
I'm pretty sure they were still in for a surprise when they got to their destination.
