Default Bird Damage. Any Suggestions?

I have a ming blue 2.7t and I park it under some power lines sometimes. There are birds that like to use my car for target practice and the droppings seem to have permanently damaged the paint. I did not let the droppings sit for more than a couple of days and I have waxed twice in two months and hand wash every week. I tried some bug and tar remover but I can still see the mark on the paint. It looks like the acid in the droppings ate through the paint and you can easily see the numerous scars on the finish. I also tried waxing again and it did not help. I will be getting a cover soon but that doesn't help my paint. Is there anything I can do to restore the paint?

What cover do you recommend? I will have to cover it every day until I find an apartment with a garage, in SF it will take a while.

P.S. I wish I harmed a couple of birds before writing this message.<p>David

Bird droppings are highly acidic! Two days is much too long to leave on the finish, especially on darker colors which hold more heat that speeds up the process. Not to mention the fact that a dark color will reveal a blemish more readily than a light color. Sounds like you need to have it buffed with a high speed rotary buffer with a fairly agressive compound. If this doesant do the trick then a light colorsanding with 1500-2000 grit might work if the damage is not too deep. If this doesant work, well...., its either a repaint or live with it. Bad10

Default I'm afraid Bad10 may be right. Noah covers are pretty good and fairly simple. Keep some quick wax

cleaner spray and a clean old T shirt to clean up any sporadic mess like that. I think Zaino is great. Anyone, Meguires, etc., is better than letting that stuff sit. I wonder if those birds had some Taco Bell spoils? Good luck!
