Default Brake Pads

Any recommendations for rear brake pad replacements ? 02 A6 4.2, normal suburban/city family driving. No aggressive driving, just want pads that offer best value for their longevity.

Oh, I did post in the brake forum, no replies. Thanks much.

Default The gGreen Stuffs are not highly regarded on the BMW boards.....

Doing a lot of research for low dust replacements for my BMW 330. Based on what I read I wouldn't get the green stuffs.

The most popular low dust pad seems to be the Axxis Deluxe Plus. Good performer with very little dust. That's what I'm getting for the Bimmer. They're not expensive.

Default Green Stuffs OK for me so far

I just recently put Greenstuffs on my A6 and have been very happy with them as a daily driver/ street pad. I wouldn't run them hard on the track but for daily driving I think they are fine. Of course they are not designed for track use, but as an OEM replacement/ mild upgrade. Let's face it the OEM wasn't designed for track use either so it falls short there too.

They are quiet, I only have to wash the dust once a month as opposed to every week, and they have a nice feel to them in the wet and the dry. I did use red goop anti squeal stuff on the backs when I installed as I always do. I've heard of some that didn't goop during install and ended up with some noise.

Anyway, YMMV

They worked well for my A6. Survived a track day with no issues. (Only BMW owners care about dust!)

If you had a BMW with OEM pads you'd know why, black in a week.
