A/C not cold enough. is it adjustable?
The A6 I just bought has ac that works but it doesnt blow very cold. refrigerant level is full and correct, I am wondering if the A/C amplifer (control unit) it adjustable for what temp it turns the compressor on and off, or maybe the high pressure switch is defective and its turning off too early.. tried both on freeway and parked with same result...

Cheap tests for both...
Remove the pollen filter and run the AC. If it's cold, that was your problem.
To test the aux fan, go drive the car with the AC at full blast for a while. When you get home, roll down your window and push ECON. If you hear soething missing your aux fan is working.
You could always take the car to an AC shop and have them test the system.

Re: it may have a clogged pollen filter, or the aux fan may not be functioning
Cabin air filter was dirty but twhen AC is on and its in recirculate mode it doesnt affect that at all.. removed it anyway and will go get replacement... also noticed compressor cultch does not cycle on and off, it runs continously when ac is on... oh and aux fan is working fine.

Sounds like refrigerant to me...
Essentially, it sounds like your AC system is fine, from a rough, cursory standpoint. I'd get it to an AC shop and make sure your refrigerant levels are OK
