Default Can the 4.2 be piggy-piped?

I know that piggy pipes are gutted pre-cats, does the 4.2 have these precats to gut?

I doubt anyone has bothered doing this on a 4.2, so I was just wondering.

Default S4 guys seem to think not, perhaps no precats on the 4.2...

however, they also seem to think that the 4.2 would start losing power instead of making more if the backpressure on the exhaust system drops too low.

Default You need a dyno to know for sure IMO. You could certainly gain some horsepower...

but the question becomes: What does the torque and HP curve now look like? You really can't figure that out without a dyno. I suppose you could use block 120 in the vag.
