Default Can anyone tell me how to remove the small grill to get to coolant drain on 4.2?

The Bentley manual just says to "remove grill on left side of bumper". It doesn't say how to unfasten and I don't want to break the plastic parts. I see two little catches in through the top front but I haven't been able to use them to release anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default my method

i more or less shove my figers into the center side of the grill and pull out. this should rotate the grill out from the center. there is only one solid tab that does not move and it is on the outside. Good luck, if you have any more questions email me and ill help you...

Default I don't do that

On my 4.2, I just disconnect the lower hose and let 'er rip. If you are doing a full flush, make sure you also open the heater drain--pretty easy to find per Bentley--and the block drain. The block drain is hard to find but if you look carefully at the Bentley picture while you are under the back of the motor--above where the rear of the belly pan attaches, you will find it. There is a lot of coolant in the block from experience, so you really want to drain it.

Default Thanks, I was able to do it with that approach

I hate to pull hard on any plastic parts without first knowing that I haven't missed some hidden fastener.
