Default Can anyone tell me what this is?

I mean, I KNOW it's piece of protective film, but does anyone know why it would be there? I recently purchased the car, so this was from before my time. When I peel a corner away, the paint beneath looks factory fresh. Could this possibly be some sort of protective shipping film that the dealer and previous owner never noticed? Could it be a sign that there was some bodywork done at one point, that this is some sort of masking film? I'm afraid to pull it off completely, for fear of finding some huge blemish beneath. Or that the paint beneath would be four years fresher than the surrounding paint and thus look even worse than this yellowed patch of film.

Thoughts?

Happy Easter, by the way.

Just go to invinca-shield.com & you can order a kit just for your car. Not that hard.

Default Just checked invinca-shield.com and there's a catch...

While they have clear bras (protector kits) for Audi A6s, they do NOT include a replacement for the protector shown in the original post. Just an FYI...

Default Underscore "GENTLY." Dealer who removed an aging clear bra on my car before delivery did some...

damage I'll have to buff out with a polisher at some point. Still trying to decide if I want to add one back...
