Default Car is getting it's 5k service tomorrow. List of issues enclosed for the interested..

The car is now at 7.5k miles since making the appt, but that's because the dealer has a two month waiting list. They advised me this would be no problem as long as I checked the fluid levels.

I love this car, and thought you'd be interested in thelist of problems I want them to take a look at. I'll let you know what happens...

Clunk in suspension under reasonable acceleration
Squealy front brakes
Brakes/Suspension - Pedal Pulsation/Steering Shimmy (discussed this on the board last week)
ABS comes on too easily.
Brakes pulse at 50mph ish, might be warped rotors
Power steering occasionally groans (worse than I would expect)
Windscreen is distorted
Might be a coolant leak?
Noise in headliner above my left ear

I think that just about covers it!

Default The noise abouve the headliner is the A pillar rattle. Look in the tech section to fix it.

All you need is a torxx bit/screwdriver. The plastic cover between the two windows rubs the roof and causes the rattle. It's a design flaw.

I have also noted a groan with the power steering. I think I will bring up the issue also. Please let me know what they said. thanks

Interesting list...I'm nearing 5K...I'd like to know what they say about the windshield. I noticed mine was distorted for the first time at about 3K miles...it's only at a certain angle, and in a place like a parking garage, where vertical line distortion is more obvious.

Breaks ain't a Porsche job, that's for sure, but I think it relates to the whole luxury ride concept. I had one tranny clunk...I forget now why, but it hasn't happened again. No steering, leak, or pedal problems, but you've got way more than 5K now. I better make my appointment!

Good Luck, and I hope as when I take mine in, they don't break any more than is already broke (which isn't anything major in my case).

Default Yeah, I would expect them to say "could not reproduce" ...

...what I've come to expect on little stuff. But they are always on the ball with more important issues - drivetrain, etc.
