Clean car! New Tires!
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/24153/pict0041.jpg"></center><p>This past spring, I detailed my car and was then rear-ended two days later. :-(
Two weekends ago, I detailed my car again and have not had any collisions since! :-)
It took about 10 hours to use clay (Griot's), swirl remover (3M), polish (P21S), and wax (P21S). It's a good thing I have a polisher (Porter Cable 7424) or else my arms would have fallen off.
I didn't get any fantastic photos, but there is one above that shows off the shine.
Finally, the day before Thanksgiving, I had a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires installed. I had ordered them from Tire Rack the week before and had a local shop install them.
Of course, the new tires feel so much better than the old worn ones. The old P6000s were very noisy. With the new tires, I don't hear much from the tires, but now notice the wind noise from the windows.
The new tires work well with the 605 removed. The steering effort is significantly lower. The car now feels like it is on it's toes, waiting to spring. It's a big improvement over the old tires that seemed too lethargic.

You can't afford me! It's a pain in the *** job.
I hate it. Especially with black paint - the cleaning makes the paint look so much better, but you still see defects after all the hard work. I have to not look closely at the paint in order to not get discouraged. (I have acid rain damage that you can't see in the photo. I chose the flattering angle.)
