Coin holder swap - a word of caution
Last week I agreed to swap my coinholder (from 2000 2.7)for a cupholder from a 2001 S4, you may have seen the post here.
Unfortunately, despite appearances, the S4 and A6 cupholders are NOT identical. The coinholder and cupholder from the A6 is about 1/8 of an inch narrower than the S4, and the angle of the front panel is steeper in the A6, so even if you could get the S4 one to fit width wise, the bottom of the font panel would likely get caught on the surrounding trim when you tried to deploy it.
I'm not sure if the differnce is due to the differences between cars or model years, but either way, if you decide to buy a second cupholder to replace the coinholder, be certain that it is intended specifically for your year and model.
