considering parting a A6 2001 2.7 quattro
How much do you guys think i can get out of her? she has a little ding in the back but other than that looks great. Also having some issues with the car, feul pump i think, and I dont want to fix it, just want to go get another ride. I have 152000 miles on her.
What can I expect to get out of the car for total parts? should I just let it go on a trade for $1500? or Try to fix and sell? the private value is $4500.00 but that is if it runs well, which mine does not right now. I would part it out if I could get $2000 or more for it.
help and advice is more than welcome!

I'll let you know. They are selling at auction in bad shape for 2000 right now.

I'd certainly be interested. It would be nice to have lots of spare parts and a transplant for some sort of frankencar to be determined at a later date.
Just so you're aware, I posted information up on a salvage yard that bought at auction a 2003 RS6 with minor body damage all over for $1300, so I might not be as far off as you think. Having a non-running car is a biiig unknown that most people don't want to gamble, especially with the rate these cars throw timing belts, turbochargers, and gearboxes.

hey guys,
so not sure about the car now, it is running fine, so i took it to a trusted shop to see if we can figure out what went wrong before and make sure it wont happen again soon.
as for the replys, I would consider an offer of $1750 - as is - because it is worth much more to me right now than $1000 anyway. Plus, I know I can trade it for at least that right now from the last appraisal I got ($2000 on the low end).
Also, yes it is the same champaign(bad speller) color that is in my avatar. I am still wondering what parting will bring though. is it worth the work?
