I have an 04 A6 C5 Quattro with an automatic transmission (unfortunately)

Could i get any advice/links on the DIY and some recommended kits?

I plan to drop it about an inch with coilovers as well, along with a brake kit if that matters in the decision.

Not looking for anything super flimsy/cheap, but definitely not looking to spend an arm and a leg.

It also has 19" rims if that makes any difference.

I'm not sure what you are asking about. For suspension, do a bit of searching - most of us advise either the ST kit (cheaper, good) or the Bilstein PSS9. Not sure what you want to accomplish with brakes. I simply cant see you tracking a 6 cyl automatic 4000 lb car, so what's the point? Other kits - specify.

I put the ST soilovers in, with a really good alignment and corner weighting, in my S6, and its pretty impressive.

Im just looking for a little advice on a control arm kit. As far as suspension goes, i had st coilovers on my passat, and the breaks are merely an upgrade to protect my investment. Not a big brake kit..where the caliper size is increased..but just a better rotor/pad combo.

Any recommended control arm kits?
