Default crazy oem parts bin mods

So I've searched and not found any sign of folks going into the VW/ Audi parts bin for some of the things I've thought of.
  1. Using a Touareg water cooled 190amp alternator in our cars.
  2. More test fitting of possible oem brake rotors for brake swaps . used rotor from ebay or scrapper is perfect for this.
  3. unconventional cooling upgrades like using a second after run water pump to help cooling down.
l'll edit this as I find answers and expand the random things I've found.

There is a reason that folks do not make their cars any more complicated than they already are.

Unless the design is so terrible that it is a safety or a reliability issue, or unless the vehicle is going to be used for extreme purposes like endurance racing, most folks are satisfied with stock.

Adding a watercooled alternator is an unnecessary complication.
Adding a second waterpump is just another place for coolant to leak.

One of the reasons that air cooled Porsches were so successful at endurance racing was their lack of water cooling.
