Creaky sunroof, ashtray rattle.

Re: Creaky sunroof, ashtray rattle.
Thanks for all the comments! I figure that silicone might be the answer but I'm a little afraid of getting the wrong lubricant in the wrong places. Is basic silicone spray pretty harmless to rubber and plastic parts? The rattles and creaks sure seem out of place in a $53K car.

I would try waxing the inside of the sunroof opening first.....
I would hestitate to put silicone up in there yet. If you wax the inside edge of the sunroof opening were the fuzzy seal on the glass edge touches, it might help. Dont forget that the water-tight seal is under the glass were you can't get to it. That is where the noise may be eminating from. I would let your dealer look at it first and maybe they can make an adjustment to it. There are adjustment provisions relating to where the glass stops etc.. Good luck and let us know.

Sunroof creak; normal suspension
Same problem occurring when body flexes/torques - coming out of driveway every morning. Opening sunroof eliminates the noise, but can't do this all winter in the northeast.
