Cross Post from A4 Forum: Bluetooth Compatible Phones
A family member will be taking delivery of a 2006 A4 2.0T with Bluetooth compatibility and needs to purchase a Bluetooth compatible phone. The family member currently has cell phone service through AT&T/Cingular. Because her cell phone is through work, changing cell phone service providers is not an option. The family member wants full bluetooth compatibility, including hands free speaking and dialing and full download of phone-book address information. She is not that particular about having a cradle in the car unless it dramatically improves reception.
Our local Audi dealer sent me a list of bluetooth phones that will work with the Audi Bluetooth module as follows:
• Siemens 556
• SonyEricson T610, T630, T616, T637
• Motorola V400, V500, V600, V710
Unfortunately, I contacted our local Cingular store and they do not have any of these models in stock anymore. The Bluetooth compatiblephone they do have stock are:
•Motorola V551, V3 Razor
• Nokia 6230, 6620
I am leaning toward recommending the Motorola V3 Razor to the family member because of its compact, thin profile, i.e., it looks cool. Does anyone have any experience with using the above four phones succesfully in an Audi equipped with the Bluetooth module?
Thanks very much for any help or input you can provide.

I have T616 - works fine (more)
You should be able to get the T637 from Cingular still - try other stores or dealers. I have an aftermarket bluetooth handsfree tied in to my car (Parrot Driveblue) and it's great. See my pic poster for handset holder idea.
I've heard from a couple of people who have the V3 Razr that it's cool and has good features, but the battery life is poor (not suprising given the lack of volume for battery).
