Drivers Window Switch
Our child control button stopped working on our 2001 A6 windows. So we'd like to replace the switch. I have the new switch, but need to know how to remove the old one - anyone care to help? I've seen reference to the small hole, but any picture of what I'm aiming for?

Re: The hole is on the underside of the handle below the switch, hard to miss.
we'll give it a shot and let you know. We were hoping for some type of clue what we are trying to reach - i.e. a plastic tab that could break, a metal clip.....

There is a plastic tab on the front of the switch...
You should be able to see this on the new switch you are putting in. I only found this out after I removed the switch the first time, so pushing it in is not required, though will make it slide out instead of "snap" out. I have a MY2000 and was not very gentle and nothing broke.

Thanks! Took longer to get the switch unit out of it's decorative cover without breaking the old brittle plastic (it's a 2001 A6) but it's in and my friends now control their own wind - if I give them permission via the switch. Thanks.
