How many of you are using 87 Octane in your 4.2 and not telling?

Default ultimatly, the debate about if it will hurt the engine is not the point, to me

the point is that the knock sesnor will dial the timing back so far, that the car will feel as slow as a 2.8.

So the extra $$ for my right foot would be the answer

Default If you are, you need to sell your 4.2

Dont buy an expensive auto if you are going to skimp on change to fill it with cheap gas.

Default Never! And further to that, how many....

use what I refer to as "second rate" gas? I'll only use Mobil, Shell or Amoco. Don't trust convenience store gas or Cheker, or even Citgo much less the independent shops.

For me it works out closer to 80 cents per day, but I'd pay 2$ per day to give her what she wants.
