First experience with Benz service today.
The dealership where I bought the car has a free loaner policy. And their loaners are all C-class Benz. So I have a 2005 C280 4matic. It is a very nice loaner, but it sure makes me appreciate the C32! I didn't think you could make a single car platform perform so radically differently.
I came to the service rep with a short list (typed) of issues to look at, including a clunk in the front suspension. I have an AllData subscription so I know that there is a Technical Service Bulletin for this issue. So my list notes that there is a "TSB" on this issue.
The service rep gets to that item and says, "TSB. Now what does that stand for?" I explain, "Technical Service Bulletin."
Now, am I to believe that a service rep doesn't know what a TSB is, or was he testing to see if I knew?

fwiw, mercedes might call it something else on their system...
i know audi and MB call the warranty repair history on a vehicle completely different things... benz seems to like to create names for these kinds of things. still, thats kind of n00bish on his part.
