I had one picked out, silver over black (of course). Went to the dealer to buy it...waited 20+ minutes where salemen were dodging me, saying they had appointments etc. (there were none). I finally was approached by the manager, so I told him that his sales staff sucked, showed him my checkbook, and left.

Went to the Audi dealership nearby, was immediately attended to, and they let me take the car home for the weekend for an extended test drive. I went back in Monday AM to sign the deal.

In the end, I am very happy with my Audi purchse! Thank goodness those Benz salesmen sucked!

the luxury aspects and the elegance were just to important. Now that I'm a better driver, and sportiness is more important than just utility, I think my next choice will have to be between an awd lexus IS, an s4, older s6 or maybe on the low end a GTI or r32 if I stay in the center of NYC or Philly.
