Default Full S6 Road Test from "Wheels 24" Internet edition (South Africa)

Please note that this test was done at 5250 ft (1750m) elevation. Sea level data would have been better.

Default Actually 1750m= 5741.458 feet ;)

Why do they do it so high? I guess it's better than the 8000 ft that Motor Trend did the 4.2 at.
Fine, sweet car

Default

Quite possibly the 0.458 feet didn't really affect times too much...

Default Oh no, it is only over 5741.457 feet that the ECU...

leans the mixture and advances the timing. Thats why the car is slower at 5741.458' then at 5741.457'

Default Because that is where Johannesburg is, which happens to be the largest and main business city in SA

70% of all cars are sold in areas at more or less the same elevation as Johannesburg.
