this a good deal?
It's an '01 A6 2.7T with almost 40k miles on it, 1 owner from California for $21995. He said price was a litle negotiable and said he was offering a 5 yr 100k extended warranty for $2500 and could knock that price in half. 19" wheels, no heated seats and no cd changer. Condition of the body and interior seems real good for an '01. I haven't had it checked by a mechanic yet though. The dealer was pretty cool, very laid back and didn't go on the test drive with me or push me into buying it. Any advice is appreciated since this would be my first Audi. I've had a '99 M3 convertible last year and am now on my '01 CLK55 (which I'm keeping and I'm looking for a 2nd car).

The price looks right w/ Audi warranty included (300+ Point Inspection) ...
That is about what I paid for the same car minus 19" wheels. a couple of months ago..
But, who's the warranty with? (obviously not Audi)
If you want a warranty make sure it is covering what is important (turos, timming chain, etc)

either my contact prescription needs adjusted - or the car has
some pretty serious, and maybe badly repaired damage to the driver's side door and rocker panel. if the car is perfect the price is not bad, but if i'm seeing what i think i am it's a definite skip. brunz advice about knowing the provider and the coverage of the warranty is good as well - save for the fact that the 2.7t has a timing belt rather than a chain, and that's not going to be covered under any policy. good luck, and the best advice is to look until you find the RIGHT car.

Re: this a good deal?
The warranty is with a company called Ultimate. They actually have 2 silver A6's with the 19" wheels. The one I am considering is the one with 39k miles. The one with 50k miles actually has reported frame damage on carfax. Perhaps they mixed up the pictures in the postings. What type of damage do you see exactly and what should I look for?
Just realized, I think I posted in the wrong forum. This should be in the C6 platform?
