Is This a Good Price?
01 2.7t with 63k. Tip with blue and cream interior.
I can get it for $10.5k. Sound like a good deal to me.
Anything I should be wary of before pulling the trigger?

A great deal..but.
look to see if the Check engine light (CEL)is on
if you can check the axle boot for rips. Spend the money to have it looked at if you can. I set aside a $1200 budget to get my A6 4.2 in top condition. I ended up getting new tires, alignment, 2 front axle boots, flush a change tranny filter, O2 sensor replaced. No problems since August 2006
So $10.5k with no engine or drive train issues but other "small" problems is a good deal. No problems is the deal of the century.

The price seems good. Some things to consider...
If from a dealer, what have they done to it? Have them pull the service history. warranty?
If from private party, service records, passion for the car from the owner.
From either, get it privately inspected by mechanic and body shop to see what"s up with it.
I hope this helps

if it's an 2001 1/2, when they upgraded the oil lines (less prone to turbo failure). people will say that between the blurred lines of august-november of 2000 builds(the 2001 Model year) they reportedly had introduced a sturdier but same k03 turbo w/ new oil lines that was less prone to going snap, crackle, *_____* and they offer an upgraded Y box upgrade, new F-hose, a noteably fatter more durable wastegate, and a better Hitachi MAF.
(some of upgrades avail at APR)
otherwise its all just food for thought if you are going to install that big bag of frito/lays upgrade. Its a good deal for you are getting for the car.
Outside (body design) difference between your year and the later 02-04 ones IIRC :
facelift of the front upper and lower grille/bumper
receded headlight washers
improved windshield wipers
exposed exhaust tips and differently formed bottom bumper style/parktronic design
this neglects the other changes between the previous and future years and it can go on and on...but stfa is your friend. and im sure other people will be tossing corrections at me left and right *flame suit on*...internal changes...oh you got lucky and got the ESP button as a standard feature and the steering wheel jogger buttons for the radio dont do favorites 1-6 anymore. I'm very vague on the inside cockpit stuff if anyone else wants to take a shot at it.
stay on this forum long enough and learn from the veterans (not me), as i'm still trying to take in and add to this wealth of knowledge people have of the C5 =)
