Goodbye A8 + Durango. Hello A6 4.2 + allroad
Well the lease expired on our 1999 Melange A8 4.2QT, fully loaded. And the durango is the worst car I have ever owned on gas. It just eats it like crazy, and since we sold our boat we don't need the towing capacity.
So we decided to get a 2001 A6 4.2 W/sport package, 6 disc changer, rear side airbags, premium package and guidance package, in silver.
And to replace the durango, a 2001 highland green allroad with tip, convenience, premium package, rear airbags, 17" rims, 6 cd, bose, and the sunroof.
We got really good deals on both. We decided to not get another a8, because all we would be getting is a face lifted model, so until the new one comes out a6 it is.
The 4.2 is really a great drive and I enjoyed it more than my a8. This thing really handles. Not the floaty feeling of the a8.
Overall since it is the end of the year we had a great shopping experience and made excellent deals on both.
