Got the A6 back after the hail damage and it looked great, except...

the body shop detailers washed my wheels with something that ruined the finish and stained the clearcoat. They apologized and have offered to have them repainted and clearcoated. For those that have had wheels re-finished, what are your feelings, were you satisfied? Did the wheels look as good as when new?

I've had no issues if a good quality company does the job. Just be sure to inspect them
before driving anywhere on them once the job is done - so any blems you notice are clearly their fault.
For us consumers it's about $100 per wheel to have a wheel refinished.

Hmm, sounds like some nasty solvent. Idiots. I think it's fair to let them refinish them.
If the results are unsatisfactory, then you can ask for new wheels. Should be fine though. I just did a wheel myself, and it doesn't look bad.
