Well I had the opportunity to do so, the other night on my way home from the club around 2am, It was just me in my 2001 A6 2.7T and a Black 2001 M3 I had to ride his *** for about 1/2 till he got the idea that there was some business that well needed to be handled, I would have to say that I was very surprised when he took off that he didnt pull on me at all, we stayed that same till about 160mph I started pulling on him, once I had him by about 6-8 cars he gave up, man I wish I had my video camera with me he was pissed when I passed him !!!!!

http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/22291/A6_2.jpg</a

On the exterior...
Looks like a Kamei grill,
Zender Front Lip
Zender Eyebrows
S4 AVUS wheels
at minimum lowering springs..
Can't tell,
Springs and other suspension mods.
Can't tell chip (but man..160...gotta.)

The best 1/4 mile that I have been able to do is 14.5 @ 96mph, I do live in Phx, AZ and it was about 100 outside, I am going to run it again in Nov I will try to let you all know what it runs then, thx

A 2.7T WILL accelerate to 160mph if
it is dropped from an air cargo transport with sufficient altitude. Speedo error is NOT linear & it is quite common to have pretty gross errors at the high end. However, if you did peg your speedo on the street, regardless of true speed, I hope that you will participate in the numerous available race track based driving schools - Bondurant, Barber, PCA, BMWCCA, etc. before you kill yourself or someone else.
BTW, if your best 1/4 is a 14.5/96, the only way you would still see an '01 M3 taillights is (1) the M3 driver let you, (2) the M3 driver was incompetent & you are reasonably good, (3) the M3 driver had more to drink at "the club" than you did or (4) you were dreaming. An M3 driven by a club footed driver will be in the mid 13s all day. I've seen them on the track at driving events - they are fast.

Re: A 2.7T WILL accelerate to 160mph if
In the 1/4 mi the M3 would kill me by more then 1 sec they run something like a 13.4, The M3 that I was racing was already going 85mph and at that speed I already had my turbos going pretty good, that is why I stayed with him and them pulled on him, In case anyone wanted to know the 2001 M3 top speed is 155mph due to the govener.
