Has anyone had this ever happen to them....
I go outside this morning around 6:25 to go to work. Start the car up, go open the gate, back out, close the gate, get back in the car, turn the lights on, then I get the bulb with an X through it on my display. ok, fine I must have blew a bulb. So I get out check the back, all bulbs are fine, even the double fog lights, go to the front, fogs are on, but no low beams, yup both of the sylvanias blew at the same time...I have had one go at a time but not both...just seemed a bit odd....

Very odd to have any bulb blow at the same time...
...although not impossible.
A similar thing happened at home for my kitchen lights. Overhead, there are about 8 recessed lights in the ceiling. Over the last several months, it seemed that once every other week, antoher one would go. So of course, i stock up on bulbs, expecting them all to eventually go in the next few months.
The other day, I noted that two bulbs went at the same time. The night before, the lights were fine, but in the AM, two went. Lucky I had the spares on hand.
The good news is that your halogen bulbs for your car should not cost that much to replace (I am assuming you have halogen low beams, not xenons).

Re: I have but it was back in...oh..maybe 1977 and in a Peugeot 504. Montana, at night.
I ran my 1972 Peugeot 504 for 17 years with the same headlights. Best car I ever owned.
At 23 years the 1984 Peugeot 505 had the original headlights when some hit and run person totalled it at 3am while it was parked on the street just recently.

This was a 1976 with European headlights I bought new after emigrating to Canada in 75
I, too loved the car and bought two more. The 76 was the best with each Peugeot afterward not living up to it's predecessor in the amount of soul. It was built like a tank but a cool tank.
