I wouldn't call that an "upgrade".
You end up with less light output, just a more purple color and more eye strain. I recently drove a car with 7500k bulbs at night and found them to be kind of irritating compared with the normal 4300k Audi bulbs. YMMV.
If you want purple, go for it.

Go with the 6000K...use the same brand as OEM (Philips)....
...D2S Part #85122 "Purple Stripe"
(Disclaimer...any other bulb besides the 4300K is for "off road" use only)
The removal and installation is straight forward. At the back of the headlight housings, the connector is a "twist, turn, and pull" setup. The bulb will come out with the connector. One side (sorry can't remember which) will give you a little harder time due to space limitations.
Have steady hands and take your time.
I reccommend having paper towels handy as well as disposable rubber gloves.
VERY IMPORTANT...do not touch the glass part of the bulb with your bare fingers, as oil from your fingers will cause the bulb to fail.
