Default hello from a long time lurker

Greetings everyone. Been a long time lurker here on the board. Have the Allroad for seven months now. Great car! Black with all options. Unfortunately I now see two of the same cars within blocks of my home here in the Chicago suburbs.

I have a couple of questions for everyone who would like to chime in.

First, I have the two piece wheels. My spare is the one piece wheel. Any two piece owners have a two piece spare?

Second, controls for the radio on the steering wheel sometimes/most of the time need to be pushed a couple of times. Anyone else have this issue? When the car was delivered the control module needed to be replaced immediately. I wonder if I got a bum replacement.

Had the car service before a drive to Florida from Chicago. I mentioned that I had a pulsation on braking, they changed the rotors in about a hour!!! The car ran beautifully during the long drive including several hours in driving rain. Solid as a rock! Gas mileage 22.7 on the trip. Don't ask about around town.

Final question. What's up with the windshield wiper recall/service bulletin. What should I be looking for? Wipers work well, but could be more effective.

No problems with wobble. Outstanding sales and service at The Exchange in Highland Park (Fred in sales).

I'm in Park Ridge. I traded a A6 for the Allroad.
I accidently posted here in the wrong forum as Big D has noted.

No sweat on the wrong forum deal.

I haven't looked at the spare in our AR so can't tell you about that, but I'll check next time I manage to get all the crap out of the trunk.

As far as the steering wheel controls go, I have found that they need to be held down for about a half second before they engage. I have this problem with the seat controls as well. Quite annoying, but I haven't bothered to mention it to the dealer yet because I'm sure that they'll tell me it's working normally. This contrasts with my '02 A6 in which all the controls work at the first press or push, responding immediately.

Steering wheel radio buttons on my 02 A6 often need to be pushed twice.
