Help! Broken clutch pedal followed by problem with synch.
1995 S6 clutch pedal stayed on floor when pressed while car was standing still. Dealer replaced clutch pedal, which it says was broken (and drained hydrolic fluid to install the new pedal). Now the dealer reports that synch is shot; grinds terribly when you try to get into second gear. As the car has always shifted smoothly through the gears - never a grind - is it possible that the first repair is causing the grinding/synch problem? Any ideas on how to address this would be appreciated.
