help help help! Electrical problems?
yesterday I posted that someone tried to break in my car from lifting door up to wedge something in... not the case. My wonderful friend neglected to notice that the door light had popped out and this was the reason why the door wasn't closing completely.
New issues: #1 When I get in the car and shut the door, it continuously beeps as if the door is open.. when I put the car in gear, it shows on the cluster that ALL the doors are open (though they are not) including the trunk.. this eventually stops after a few minutes but the cluster still shows the doors all open. #2 When the lights are switched on, the car continuously "tones" (the noise you hear when you turn the car off but left the lights on when opening the door) and it doesn't stop. Very annoying. #3 The "lock" switch does not work at all, while the "unlock" switch still does. Anyone ever experience this?

You've got something shorting out, likely the wires or housing got crushed in that light.
If you can pop the light out again, take a good look, somewhere something is touching metal or wires are crossed. you can pull fuse 14 and your chiming should stop but you will not have any power windows, seats, locks or dome lights. If you are sure that the light isn't the culprit then do a search for fuse 14 problems and you should find a link to unplug your rear passenger footwell lights. That is a common cause of your symptoms as well because they are known to short out esp on the driver's side.
