Help me figure this out please...
i have sucessfully built this engine 3 times and now i cant figure out what the hell is wrong.
after installing new cams(ate a lobe up due to a collapsed lifter) i am getting incorrect cam correlation codes p 1340 &1347..so i tore it all apart and all arrows pointed to the correct notch.but only 14 rollers on the chains between notches, so i got it s close as i could decipher...
i need definate pics on roller count. put it back together and fired her up to get the same codes..yes i cleared them and watched them come back
vag. com group 093 is saying -25.0 bank 1 and -24.0 bank 2
there is 16 rollers currently from notch to notch on bank 1 (meaning notches are in the saddle of gearteeth)
there is 14 rollers BETWEEN notches on bank 2, the only way the arrow be anywhere the notch(1 notch is in the saddle and the other under a tooth)
i used the lock bar and crank pin on this job as well.... anything SOLID would help.. the internet has sooo much conflicting info.
again it is a 2001 2.7 with 2.8 cams new cam pos. sensors.
could the G40 and G28 sensors really go bad at the same time?? triple checked all connections... STUMPED!

thanks for the response, i have set it like the diagram. it runs ok, loss of power, with no CEL's but when i start looking at the data from my vag com i find that there are pending codes
