Default How can I find my tip ECU number without digging into the ECU box?

Is there a way to find my tip ECU without have to take apart the front passenger seat floor?

I want to see if the GIAC tip chip is compatible with my car.

Default Would I be making a mistake in ordering my RS6 if........

I opted to leave off the navigation and phone systems?
#1- I have no need for this tom-foolery stuff- it doesn't make the car faster, or get better gas mileage.
#2- I am very good at map reading and navigation, traits learned in my rallying days.
#3- I had as soon drive drunk as use a car phone. (Recent testing in Enland indicates cell
phone user response time is 30% slower than that of a driver over the legal booze limit.)
#4- they are over priced.

My question is: would the omission of these items adversely affect resale value, or would the average buyer of this car used not give a damn?

Default Not at all. Those are question mark items to most people. After all,

how long would you keep the car, and who are you buying it for ?

The car is already going to come with all the normal goodies and then some.

May be bundled ? The Nav Plus can do a lot of other things besides nav.

Default Actually, the item at the URL is covering two bits of news...

1. MMI will debut on the 2003 A8 and...

2. The RS6 will come to The States.

At no time did Len H. say or infer that MMI would be part of the US-spec RS6.
