How to deactivate passenger airbag in VAG COM?

In order for my baby girl to sit in front I have taken away the passenger airbag. Now of course the airbag indicator is on all the time as the ECU recognise the airbag is missing.

Can anyone tell me how to re-program the ECU with VAG COM in order to tell the car there is no airbag present?

By the way... the car is A6 2.7Tq avant 2000 (nt)

I don't think it's possible; safest place for a youngster is in the back seat.

Why would ANYONE consider seating a small child in the front seat???

The is just not right, and not safe.

Ditto...why can't the child go in the back seat?

Just not a cool space for a child airbag or not...

Back seat all the way

Back seat is safest place...for anyone...most collisions are frontal..ergo more metal to go thru to get to you in the back seat. If your baby girl is still in any type of carseat..in the backseat or not at all.

The regret will be more painful than the accident.
