Default My first one split at about 84k and now at 88k I have to replace the other one

$40 at the dealer (with my discount) and I replaced it with a mechanic friend of mine in about 45 min considering it was our first time doing it.

And I had a step by step chart from one of our Members wich you can find in the Archives.

They may last longer if you always park with the wheels straight.

Default until it breaks :)

There's no hard and fast rule. I've seen cars with 200K+ miles on them that are on the original boots and I've seen them fail in the first year or two of ownership. It happens to all cars with CV joints eventually. My front left outer boot failed last year at about 70k miles.

Cheers,

Big factor is quality if the boost is a replacement.

Default Indeed. I just had a boot I changed not long ago twist up and blow out...

I have no idea how it got so twisted though.. The clamps are tight..
