Default My friends and I did that...

to his father's Caddy when he came to St Louis for our graduation. All the St Louis locals have curb feelers on their Caddies, so we thought his needed them too, to fit in, ya' know...middle of the night covert operation while he slept in his hotel room...very stealthy...they were sweet and GOLD, just so he'd really fit in.

He was not really amused

Default BTW, another Audi shipment arrived in Port today . . .

so this must bode well for your car. I would think that they ship to the various ports on a similar schedule. On a side note, I believe my eyes spied an A3 or S3 in this shipment. It had been off loaded and driven to it's own special area. No other Audi cars within 30 feet any direction.

It is black and still has all the rapguard over the wheels etc . . . Looked pretty slick if it is what I think it is. It's probably going to be used as a PR car or something. If not, some poor Audi Factory Shipping rep has some splaining to do.

Bri

p.s. No, I'm not some port junkie. I just travel several times between offices which take me directly over the Port of Boston.

Default Congrats on your port status!!! They should be able to tell you what port...

it is in. Once in port, it spends between 1 day and ~10 days waiting for a truck. Just luck of the draw, it seems. My 4.2 spent ~3 days in port, then 5 days or so travel from Houston to SF. Then 2-3 days at the dealer waiting in line to get processed and me waiting to not be leashed to the local area.

Most recent reports (last Tuesday) have the car finally and legitimately in "G"-on the water status after a false alarm a few weeks earlier. The new status report comes out today, but I don't want to be a pest, plus it likely has not changed status in this past week.
I'm hoping and estimating delivery sometime between Jan 7-11 (I'll be away until the 6th anyway and we're driving to LA the night of the 11th, of course, for the auto show), but if it is not there yet, I'll curse the gods (of cars, that is) and we'll have to suffer through a 500 mile trip in the 4.2 At least then I wouldn't have to worry about takin' it easy breaking it in

Good luck with yours...it should be in your hands within 2 weeks, maybe as early as 7-9 days...excellent!

Default I know it sounds sick...but I'm starting to like that thing (a little)...

the open looking trunk is still not right...but I'm starting to accept those stupid eyebrow turn signals in the front...have to see in person, I guess.
