If lease is assigned - is orig leasee free of obligations ?

If lease is assigned - is orig leasee free of obligations ?
I have searched the archives, and find different opinions, thus would appreciate the collective wisdom of the group.
If I "assign" my Audi Financial Services lease to a new leasee whose financial application is approved by Audi Fin Serv, pay the $100 lease transfer fee, and the new leasee contracts for the remainder of the lease, etc. am I "completely out of the lease" or do I have some continuing obligation?

Call Audi Financial because....
with BMW and every other manufacturer I have worked with, the original leasee was ultimately responsible until the original contract was completed.
