The reduced weight, decreased drivetrain power loss plus CVT efficiency make the car faster in the non-slippery stuff.

Yeah, I know, Europe's got tons of combos...
The only vehicle I know that got jammed in Europe was the S6 which lost it's manual transmission after the 2000 model year...crazy!!!

Front Trak model. Less weight, and the CVT tranny to make the most of it.
I take it you didn't drive the CVT before buying your QTR? I am assuming you have the QTR and Tip version?
Yes, the Front Trak does feel lighter on its feet around town. Pushed hard, it will become flustered sooner, but up to that point (or rain or snow) it is a very nice car.
